I remove unwanted tattoos with the Candela PicoWay, a picosecond laser that breaks ink into tiny particles your body clears naturally. Most clients need a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart, with little downtime. Pricing is per square inch, with plans from $55/month. You'll find me inside Be U Lounge on Merivale Road.

How it works

  1. Book a consultation. We look at your tattoo, your skin and your health form, and I give you an honest estimate of sessions and cost.
  2. Your first session. The laser passes over the tattoo in quick pulses — about 15–30 minutes of laser time inside a 1-hour booking.
  3. Healing between visits. Your body clears the broken-down ink over the following weeks. I set the spacing in your plan.
  4. Review and repeat. Each visit we check progress together and adjust settings until you've reached your goal.

Is it right for you?

Laser tattoo removal works on most skin tones and most inks. The best results come from healthy skin and realistic expectations — full fading takes time, and results vary.

Most people can be treated safely, but please tell me first if any of these apply to you:

  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You have taken Accutane (isotretinoin) in the last 6 months.
  • The area has recent sun exposure, a tan, or self-tanner.
  • You take a photosensitizing medication.

Pricing

Pricing is per square inch, confirmed at your consultation. Monthly payment plans: $55 (extra small, under 1 sq in), $65 (small, up to 4 sq in), $85 (medium, up to 9 sq in), $85 (large, up to 16 sq in), $95 (extra large, up to 25 sq in), $105 (25–88 sq in).

A consultation is $25, which comes off your first treatment — or is refunded if you decide not to go ahead.

How many sessions will I need?

Does laser tattoo removal hurt?
Most clients describe it as quick snaps against the skin, over in minutes. Sessions take about 15–30 minutes of laser time inside a 1-hour booking, and we can pause any time you need.
How is the price worked out?
I price by the square inch, so you pay for the size of your tattoo and nothing more. Monthly payment plans start at $55 for extra small tattoos. Your exact price is confirmed before we begin.
Can you remove coloured ink?
Yes. The PicoWay uses multiple wavelengths, which lets me treat a wide range of ink colours, including shades that older lasers struggle with. Some colours fade faster than others, and results vary.
What is the downtime?
Most clients go straight back to their day. The area can look red or feel like a mild sunburn for a few days, and I'll send you home with simple aftercare instructions.
Will it leave a scar?
Scarring is uncommon when the skin is treated gently and aftercare is followed. I use conservative settings and space sessions so your skin has time to heal between visits.
Can you fade a tattoo for a cover-up instead?
Yes. If you're planning a cover-up, I can lighten the old tattoo just enough for your artist to work over it. That usually takes fewer sessions than full removal.
